What You Need to Know On Electrosurgery (Cone / Diathermic Loop)

Diathetic loop (cone) electrosurgery is a procedure recommended by the WHO for CIN 1, CIN 2, and CIN 3 lesions, or for cervical ulcers. It is performed under local anesthesia: the lesion is cut out and removed using a loop-shaped electrode, and the area is cauterized.

⚠️ Important: This procedure is performed only on medical advice, following a colposcopy and/or biopsy that confirm the lesion.
